Active since 2004, Mikko Innanen & Innkvisitio are a celebrated jazz group, breaking their path as they penetrate into new, unexplored areas of jazz. In addition to active gigging in Finland, the group has performed at jazz clubs and festivals in Scandinavia, the Baltic countries, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, France, Belgium, Portugal, Canada and the U.S. So far they have released two accalaimed albums on the respected Finnish label, TUM Records; the third effort is in the pipeline, due to be released later this year.

Saksofonisti Mikko Innasen luotsaama Innkvisitio-yhtye esiintyy Helsingin ykkösjazzklubilla torstaina 9.6. Vuodesta 2004 yhtäjaksoisesti toiminut ryhmä on esiintynyt jazzklubeilla ja -festivaaleilla Pohjoismaiden ja Baltian maiden lisäksi Unkarissa, Slovakiassa, Saksassa, Ranskassa, Belgiassa, Portugalissa, Kanadassa ja Yhdysvalloissa. Yhtyeen kaksi ensimmäistä levyä, TUM Recordsin julkaisemat Paa-da-pap (2007) ja Clustrophy (2010) toivat Innaselle ja kumppaneille paljon huomiota alan kansainvälisten toimijoiden keskuudessa. Tänä vuonna ilmestyvä Mikko Innanen & Innkvisition kolmas levy tulee epäilemättä jatkamaan samalla linjalla, jos yhtyeen tämänhetkisestä tiukasta ja räjähtävästä live-energiasta pystyy jotain päättelemään.
